I bought a disposable camera and used up all 27 exposures in the course of 24 hours. I then removed the protective layer of green cardstock from the camera and plugged all its holes and access ports with epoxy putty. I knew this thing was never getting developed. I was interested in the camera as a container. It contains a roll of 35 mm film, which preserve 27 memories.

Honestly, I’m not super sure what’s in there. I remember taking pictures of pretty commonplace stuff, things I encountered organically... my friends, my car, my room, my work, my city...

In other words, the most important things in my world; it is full of relics of the person I am, as a 22 year year old woman in art school. With tacky glue and gold beads, I made my disposable camera into a reliquary--neither disposable nor camera.
